Father Matt is a proud Midwesterner, having been born and raised in Illinois, attended college in Indiana, and lived for periods in both Minnesota and Michigan. After graduating from Taylor University in Indiana with a degree in biology, he spent three years teaching high school Bible and theology before attending Duke Divinity School for his Masters of Divinity. Along with his general theological studies, Fr. Matt received a certificate in Anglican Studies while at Duke. He is married to Haley, and together they have two children, Mila and Hugo. In his free time, Fr. Matt enjoys cooking, reading, and sports of all kinds, especially Chicago Cubs baseball. Fr. Matt was ordained into the priesthood in June of 2023.
