Growth Groups

Growth Groups allow us to come together in a smaller, closer setting with the purpose of truly getting to know one another, growing together in faith, and standing with one another in times of need. Every other week, parishioners get together for a meal, fellowship, prayer, and spiritually focused study which is designed to help us grow more mature in our faith and relationship with God. Groups mostly meet in homes (some meet at the Church) on various days of the week.

Parsons Group

Location: 3707 Commerce St 75226

A growth group targeted at folks in their late 20s and 30s both married and single. The hosts have a toddler, so you must not mind a little clutter and the occasional misplaced toy. Welcom- ing to all, the Parsons Group is a warm and friendly collection of Christians who meet for fellowship, worship, study and prayer in a laid-back and casual environment. We will provide drinks, but feel free to brink a dessert or snack to share, or your dinner if you are running straight from work. This semester, we will be studying Devotional Classics: Selected Readings for Individuals & Groups. Come prepared to discuss, explore, share and grow with the rest of the group in a nurturing environment.

Hartmann-Brooks Group

Location: Lake Highlands

Geared toward parents with young children, this semester the group will begin with dinner followed by study and discussion on Devotional Classics: Selected Readings for Individuals & Groups. We will end our time with prayer requests and lifting each other up in prayer.

Skorburg-Lewis Group

Location: Greenville / Lakewood Area

Led by Joanna & Matt Lewis and Wendy & Chase Skorburg, this group consists primarily of single and married adults in their 20s and 30s. We begin each meeting with a relaxed dinner and conversation followed by thoughtful discussion and concluding with prayer. We invite you to join us and become a part of our community!

Clark Group

Location: Lake Highlands

his group, led by Becky & Bruce Clark, consists primarily of adults in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s but is open to all who would like to attend. Each meeting starts with fellowship and dinner followed by worship and discussion and concludes with a time of prayer.

Fahrenbrook Group

Location: Kessler Park Area

Led by Meg & Michael Fahrenbrook, our group consists primarily of single and married young professionals in their 20s and 30s. Our growth group nights begin with dinner, followed by an engaging discussion and thoughtful, small-group prayer. This fall the group will be reading and discussing Spiritual Classics: Selected Readings for Individuals and Groups on the Twelve Spiritual Disciplines edited by Richard J. Foster and Emilie Griffin. We welcome you and invite you to visit!

Johnson Group

Location: Lakewood area

Led by Andy and Kristyn Johnson, this group is open to everyone but geared toward 30s/40s married couples. The group begins with dinner followed by evening prayer, a brief led discussion on the daily gospel passage, prayer and fellowship.

Lead by Whitney and Lori Evans, this group is comprised of a broad range of people: 20s, 30s, and 40s, single and married people. This group will be studying the Book of Philippians.
