Monica Awbrey
Interim Director of Music
Monica Awbrey currently teaches at The Episcopal School of Dallas and directs several groups in the area, including St. Matthew's Cathedral Arts and the Greater Dallas Choral Society. When she first moved to Dallas in 1996, Monica joined the choir at Incarnation as a staff singer. In 2000, she established the Incarnation Children's Choir, which is still present today. From 2000-2003, Monica also helped direct the Incarnation Diocesan Choir, which performed major works with singers from across the diocese at the church. After getting married at Incarnation in 2000, two of her boys also joined the Incarnation family. One of her sons attended Pre-Kindergarten in the first year of Incarnation Academy. From 2008-2009, Monica returned to serve as Interim Director of Music, where she directed the Adult Choirs, Children's Choir, and Handbell Choir. Monica's husband, Jason, is also a professional singer and continues to enjoy worshiping at Church of the Incarnation.
