We will celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday by singing favorite hymns such as The King of Love my Shepherd Is and Shepherd of Souls, Refresh and Bless, as well as Psalm 23 (The Lord Is My Shepherd), perhaps the most beloved of all the psalms. The choir will sing an energetic setting of the Jubilate, which reminds us that we are all sheep in the Lord's pasture, and Scott Dettra will play two movements of Widor's 6th Organ Symphony for the voluntaries—the pastoral Cantabile movement for the prelude, and the fiery Finale for the postlude.
Becky Middleton and Casey Reid, along with the Uptown Worship Band, will continue this Easter season with a highly requested worship song, Raise A Hallelujah. The offertory special is a Johnny Cash inspired spiritual Ain’t No Grave, a song especially poignant for this season. Expect to hear songs by Phil Wickham, Hillsong, and Crowder.
