Our preacher is Lord Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury (you may remember that he presided at the marriages of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles and later at the marriage of William and Kate). He is one of the great Christian figures of our generation. A widely published author and preacher, Lord Williams, who is fluent in eleven languages, is known for his depth and obvious holiness. This is a sermon not to be missed!

    WORSHIP

Becky Middleton and Casey Reid will lead our Uptown band with the highly requested worship song “Raise A Hallelujah.” They have a few specials for you this week including “Christ The Lord Is With Me,” a beautifully poignant song from Steffany Gretzinger’s (Bethel) new album, and the high energy, folk-infused “God So Loved” by We The Kingdom. Expect to hear songs by Housefires, Bethel, and Page CXVI.

Join us online as we celebrate the Sixth Sunday of Easter, commonly called Rogation Sunday. The choir will sing Richard Shephard's jubilant anthem 'The Easter Song of Praise,' as well as Edward Elgar's beautiful setting of the 14th-century Eucharistic text 'Ave serum corpus.' Graham Schultz will play organ voluntaries by Edward Bairstow and Charles Villiers Stanford.

    A Look at the Catechism

This week, we learn about the New Covenant, according to the BCP's catechism. The best way to understand the New Covenant is to compare it with how the Catechism explains the Old Covenant--God's relationship with the Hebrew people as it is described in the Old Testament. But what makes the New Covenant "new"? How does it help us understand who Jesus is and what he has done for us according to Scripture?
