No problem! We offer three ways to make your offering via debit/credit card or your bank account (ACH) from your computer or smart mobile device:
Do I need a Tithe.ly account?
No! When giving via the web giving form, you do NOT have to create a Tithe.ly account to make one-time or recurring donations.
However, if you would like to make giving as easy as possible and have the opportunity to take advantage of all the Tithe.ly features, you will have to create an account. An account is required to use text-to-give or the Tithe.ly mobile app.

Is online giving secure?
Security is of utmost importance to protect your financial information. Mobile and online transactions are transmitted using 256-bit TSL/SSL, and card data only touches Level 1 PCI-DSS compliant systems (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards). Card details are tokenized, stored, and encrypted on industrial grade servers. This high level of security is on par with leading financial services and banking institutions.
Bank Account/ACH Giving
Prefer to pay directly from your bank account, instead of using a credit or debit card? ACH payment has been around a while, and you may know it as electronic fund transfer (EFT) or eCheck. This digital equivalent of writing a check is easy to set up.
To choose this option, scroll to the bottom of the giving form to see payment options. Credit/Debit is selected by default.
Click “Bank Account” to highlight the option. Then, scroll back up the form to enter your bank’s routing and account numbers.
Automated giving offers a convenient way to support the church at regular intervals, even if you are away on vacation. Giving recurrences can be set to weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and 1st & 15th of the month.

Cover the processing fees?
When you cover the processing fees, you pay a little extra over your intended donation amount to cover the transaction fee. For example, if you want the church to receive $100, you actually donate $103.30.
- The church keeps $100,
- $3.30 pays the fees, and
- your giving statement reflects a donation of $103.30.
Should I avoid the fees and pay cash/check instead?
Do not be deterred if you are comfortable online. The processing fees are simply the cost of doing business in the digital age. Keep in mind, there are costs associated with accepting cash and checks also. The money is collected, sorted, tallied, and processed for deposit; and giving records need to be updated too. So there is the cost of labor, check-reading equipment, security measures, printing of offering envelopes, and bank account fees to consider. Remember that however you give, your offering is a blessing to the church.
Auto-payment for pledge and giving
Auto-payment is a great way to provide reliable, predictable support for the church, even when you are out of town. This option is built into both the online pledge and giving forms.
A pledge is a commitment to give. When you make an online pledge, you have the option to set up auto-payment to fulfill your pledge. Decide a regular amount to give, the giving frequency and enter start and end dates. Next, select “I’d like to setup my pledge for auto payment” and enter your payment details.
With online giving, you can choose from available funds and select the “Setup automated giving.” Initiating automated giving provides options for a giving frequency and to choose a either the next upcoming day of the week or the month to begin. There is no end date, so your offering continues according to schedule until adjusted or cancelled.
