Parenting Teens Class

Feel ill-equipped to parent your adolescents through the challenges they experience? Issues from temptations and peer pressure to substance abuse, sleepovers, social media, bullying, sex, and dating can leave parents reacting to their kids when what they need is faith-filled love, wisdom, and guidance. Learn to navigate these waters and become a proactive parent through Dr. Ken Wilgus' book, Feeding the Mouth that Bites You. A Christian psychologist specializing in adolescent behavior, Dr. Wilgus addresses issues from a scientific and data-informed perspective while conveying Christ-centered wisdom and guidance.

Class Schedule:
Jan 9: Introduction
Jan 16: The Problem of Modern Adolescence
Jan 23: Student Ministry Open House (in Youth Area, Basement Education Building).
Jan 30: Making Sense of Adolescent Behavior
Feb 6: Understanding Planned Emancipation
Feb 20: Implementing Planned Emancipation
Feb 27: Communicating with Adolescents
Mar 6: Limit-Setting with Adolescents
