Schmersal and son

David and Isaac Schmersal

David Schmersal and his son Isaac moved to Dallas from Tucson, AZ in March of 2013. In the midst of visiting various churches in the Dallas area, an Evensong spot on WRR Classical 101 caught his attention. Intrigued, he listened to a few sermons on the church website. The focus on scriptural text and an invitation to be a part of what God is doing in and through this church, convinced him to take the next step and attend a service. “At the very first note of the opening introit, I knew we’d found our church.” Without hesitation, David and Isaac began to find ways to get involved. Together they usher in the traditional service, participate in Day of Service, and attend family ministry events like the Epiphany service and Advent family night.

“Worshiping in what feels like a Medieval cathedral is a constant reminder of Holiness and that we are connected with the broadest and deepest traditions of the church. The sermons and Sunday school classes are challenging, thought provoking, and relevant to our lives. I am thankful to raise my son at Incarnation where we can tangibly see what God is doing in and through this church.”
