Youth & Family

The Youth & Family ministry fosters spiritual growth in teenagers through experiences both fun and formative: weekly events, retreats, trips, and teaching. We desire each student to know they belong to Christ—and are therefore an integral part of his Body. Together, staff, parents, and the entire church community play a pivotal role in our ministry to youth.

  • Special events

All parts of the Confirmation Program are equal in value and are designed with specific purposes that help your student to grow and form relationships.

High School Sunday School

Sundays • 10:20-11:05 AM • Education Building Youth Area, Room 004 (basement)

Meets monthly for fun, food, fellowship, and worship. This is a great way for your middle and high schooler to get connected, make new friends, and deepen friendships with existing friends. Youth are encouraged to participate in fun team activities as well as have a time to build on their faith. They can also earn service hours for various community projects. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to get to know other parents and support your child for these special evenings.

A weekend retreat where students are divided into small groups and instead of going away, the retreat takes place in church members' homes. Youth spend the night, learn about God, eat, play games, give back to the community, hang out with old friends and make new ones, and worship in their assigned small groups. The Bible Study leaders are college students and young adults who engage the students in interactive bible lessons and lead them in all of their activities. The weekend also includes a Saturday morning serving the community through Day of Service. This weekend is full of surprises that draws youth closer to God and create an environment for friendships to grow. Friends are welcome!

Grades 6-12, Internship runs May through July each year. Applications available in May. This incredible hands-on experience includes ministering to the local neighborhood, serving the church, and strengthening relationships. By working Vacation Bible School, local community camps and other activities in the Summer Internship Program, your child can earn credits towards costs associated with summer camp. They will be humbled by the responsibility, challenged by the tasks, and transformed as he/she experiences and shares the love of Christ by becoming His hands and feet. All youth currently in grades 6-12 are encouraged to apply!

Summer Camp is a way for youth in Grades 6-12 to spend a week relaxing, playing, and growing closer to God. Recent camps have been held at beach locations! This is a fun way for your child to deepen friendships and grow in their faith. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help with this special trip.
