In order to participate by voting in the election of Vestry members, you must be a baptized member of the Church of the Incarnation, eighteen (18) years of age or older and in good standing. For the previous year, you must have been faithful in corporate worship, unless for good cause prevented, and faithful in working and praying and giving for the spread of the Kingdom of God. (Canon 1.17.3).
A cradle Episcopalian, Catherine has a deep relationship with God and the Church and would bring a unique perspective, through her faith and experiences to the Vestry and interests of Incarnation. Catherine moved back to Dallas from Lexington, Virginia in 2002 and started attending Incarnation. Since then, she joined a Growth Group was married at Incarnation and has served on the Altar Guild, as a Children & Family Ministry Ambassador, Godly Play instructor, Austin Street Shelter volunteer, Vacation Bible School Co-Chair Elect, Vacation Bible School Registration Coordinator, and teacher, Theology Live Co-Chair, and Moms Talk Communications Co-Chair.
Scott and his father Mike have served as ushers for many years, and he also currently serves as a chalice bearer. He participated as a delegate to the 2016 Diocesan Convention and has been an active member of Growth Groups and the Men’s XP Bible Study. Scott and his wife, Lauren, are enthusiastic about Children & Family Ministry and recently hosted one of the initial Incarnation Fellowship Dinners for young families. In addition, Lauren presently serves on the Incarnation Foundation Board. Scott is a Senior Analyst and Partner at Paragon Associates, a 45-year-old Dallas-based investment fund specializing in public equities.
After growing up in a Methodist church, Jared Shelton joined Incarnation in 2011. He graduated from the On the Canterbury Trail class and was then confirmed in 2012 by Bishop Stanton. Shelton now is a leader of the Shelton-Leary Growth Group and is on the Stewardship Committee. He enjoys volunteering with Angel Tree and Day of Service. He is married to Kathryn Allison Shelton, with children Mackenzie Jane and Jack William. Jared is the President of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen.
Christ and The Church are the center of Elizabeth Steed’s life. She believes the Church is the Hope of the world. Family is also primary in regards to her priorities. She is willing to serve in any capacity that might build and strengthen Faith and the Church. Steed hopes that everything that she says and does would bring unity in both Church and Family. She has served as an Altar Guild member, Day of Service volunteer, Vacation Bible School Music Leader, and as a Reading Buddy. She also attends Women’s Bible Study and Moms Talk.
Andy Welch is a current Diocese of Dallas Board of Trustee of the Episcopal Foundation of Dallas and on the Gaston Episcopal Hospital Foundation. He is currently an Incarnation Foundation Board Trustee. Welch has previously served on The Incarnation Foundation Board, as well as on the Vestry from 1998–2003 and 2009–2012, in addition to serving as the Senior Warden in 2002 and 2012, Junior Warden in 2011, Treasurer in 2001, 2009, and 2010, and Assistant Treasurer 1998–2000. He served as a Co-Chair on the Lift High the Cross Building Committee and enjoys serving as a Chalice Bearer and Usher in our worship services. Andy is the Founder and Principal of Merion Advisors, an investor, and advisor in the hospitality and technology industries.
Stuart is an executive recruiter and a founding partner of Chartwell Partners. At Incarnation, he has served on the Vestry, the Board of the Incarnation Foundation, on the Rector Search Committee, as Champion of Dick Granger Neighborhood Ministry and as Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign. At the Diocesan level, Stuart has served on Executive Council, Finance Committee and the Bishop Search Committee. Married to Carla for over thirty years, he has two adult children, Erika & Jack.
Jayna—an Optimization Analyst at One Technologies—has lived in Dallas since graduating college in 2014. A graduate of the Incarnation Fellows program, Jayna has been a fixture of Incarnation leadership since her arrival. An Uptown Service Coordinator and Media Tech, Jayna currently serves as a member of the Young Adults Advisory Committee, is active in Mission & Outreach, and as on the Welcome Committee. In the community, Jayna is a member of the United Way Young Leader Board.
Adrianne is an RN and soon-to-be Nurse Practitioner. A classically trained pianist with a degree in church music, Adrianne has been a member of Incarnation since 2005 and constant fixture in the Uptown band on piano & vocals. Adrianne has participated in numerous Mission & Outreach ministries, has served as a Welcome Minister, a lector and in Growth Group leadership. Active in the local community, she volunteers at several local clinics.
Greg, a lifelong Episcopalian, has been retired since 2003. After marrying his wife Connie at Incarnation 54 years ago, Greg spent time at St. Matthias in Dallas, serving on the Vestry and as Junior and Senior Warden. Greg was active at Epiphany in Richardson before returning home to Incarnation in 2001. An usher, Greg is a member of the Lazarus Guild. When not at Church, Greg enjoys spending time with his two sons and six grandchildren.
Wendy is Senior Vice President of Risk Management at Benchmark Bank, although she started her career in youth ministry and has a Master of Divinity from Yale. At Incarnation, Wendy is Vestry Clerk, a Growth Group leader, lector, and Children & Family Ministry Ambassador. Wendy has served on the standing Parish Committee on Vocations & the Young Adults Committee. Married to Chase, Wendy has a three year old daughter and is expecting a son in March.
