The Rev. Cn. Carrie Headington

Evangelist-in-Residence

Carrie Headington is an evangelist and apologist and serves as the Canon Evangelist for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. She speaks throughout the US and around the globe, sharing the abundant life found in Jesus Christ with spiritual seekers and Christians alike. Carrie is the founder of The Good News Initiative which provides resources in evangelism.  She works with all Christian denominations especially Episcopalians, engaging in evangelistic speaking, apologetics, and equipping congregations to be the hands, feet, and mouthpieces for Jesus in their everyday lives.

 

Carrie is a graduate of Oxford University with degrees in Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Prior to Oxford, Carrie received a BA from Yale University (major in History) and an MA from Harvard University in Education with a focus in Urban Poverty Policy. Carrie is an associate evangelist for British Evangelist Canon J.John’s Philotrust and is active in the Lausanne Movement, the Luis Palau Next Gen Network, and is a blogger writing for Christianity’s Today’s Exchange with Ed Stetzer and The Living Church Covenant Blog. Carrie is an adjunct professor for Fuller Theological Seminary teaching evangelism and church planting. Carrie is a published author with chapters in The Gospel and Pluralism Today: Reassessing Lesslie Newbigin in the 21st Century (InterVarsity Press); Acts to Action: The New Testament Guide to Mission and Evangelism (Forward Movement); and Sent to Flourish: Church Planting Today (IVP Academic).  She can also be listened to on My Faith Radio. In 2017, Carrie joined the Presiding Bishop’s Evangelism Team for Revivals and also helps lead the Order of Evangelists under Bishop George Sumner. Carrie serves on the boards of The Greater Dallas Coalition (churches working together to eradicate poverty), RECONCILE DALLAS (Movement for racial reconciliation), The Living Church Foundation, and Gateway of Grace (refugees in Dallas ministry). Carrie is married to Greg, founder of the Global Faith Project, a ministry serving inner city Dallas, Cuba, N. Africa, France, and Latin America. Together they share a lifelong commitment to caring for the poor and equipping the church to be good news.
