A Season of Transition
As of Sunday, November 3, the Church of the Incarnation enters a season of transition, as the Rev. Dr. Christopher A. Beeley steps down from his role as Rector to pursue new ministry opportunities. The result of much prayer and reflection, this decision reflects a beneficial discernment by the Rector, the Vestry, and the Bishop of Dallas.
As a church, we are thankful for Dr. Beeley's fruitful ministry among us these past two and a half years — especially for his preaching and teaching, and for his heart of prayer. We are confident that the Lord will continue to use him mightily in the service of the wider church for many years to come.
We are also grateful that Bishop Greg Brewer, a retired bishop and seasoned rector, will serve as our Interim Rector beginning November 10.
We trust that Christ will continue to lead the Church of the Incarnation not only through this time of transition but also in the years ahead, as we remain committed to worshipping in the great tradition of the Church, growing disciples of Jesus Christ, serving the poor, and raising up Christian leaders for the renewal of the Church — within our walls and beyond.
