A Letter from the President of The Incarnation Foundation

Although I have been a member of this church for almost thirty years, fortunately we are a large and growing parish. Unfortunately, it is too large to know everyone. I wanted to introduce myself as the president of The Incarnation Foundation (“TIF”).
My wife, Adrienne, and I were married at Incarnation in 1997, and we raised our three children in this church. You may see me as an usher in the 9:00 traditional service, and I have been active in the Dick Granger ministries since its inception. I joined the foundation in 2020, and I was honored to succeed Andy Welch’s leadership at the start of this calendar year.
For decades, members of our parish have generously planted seeds through gifts and bequests for the benefit of the church and its mission. In 1988, TIF was formed as a separately managed 501(c)(3) to protect, invest, and administer the endowed funds for the exclusive benefit of Church of the Incarnation. You see its impact in our music and education programs, in our mission and outreach programs, and even in the support it provides our rector and the clergy. It supports the church in numerous ways that are beyond the normal annual operating budget of the church itself.
Most parishes do not have a foundation like this. It takes foresight and patience to build. We are blessed to have parishioners with a future-oriented mindset and a talented group of board members building for the next generation.
The board and I welcome your curiosity about the foundation and invite you to consider including the foundation in your will or simply designating it as a beneficiary in your retirement accounts. No gesture is too small. If you love this church, we can help you navigate the many ways to make a bequest.
