Giving for Impact
Incarnation is a community and the generosity of all members is required to carry out the call God places upon us for the coming year.
Your giving supports Incarnation’s people, programs, places and possibilities: our clergy and staff who invest their time and talents to bring our church’s vision to life, connecting us to grow relationally and spiritually, and lead us through both difficult and joyful seasons together; our ministries for all age levels are the fruits of our generosity and can only grow when our generosity grows; our campus, which we are charged to maintain and preserve, provides a place for us to come together to worship, pray, learn, serve; and, all that is to come – the possibilities that God has yet to reveal, for which he is preparing us to embrace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our Stewardship campaign is a year-round ministry – it is our giving back to God, in thanksgiving, a portion of the blessings we have received. Financial commitments to our annual stewardship effort support all the programs and ministries of the church which include worship and music, spiritual formation for all ages and stages, pastoral care support, outreach, building and operational needs and staffing.
Why are pledges so important?
There are many reasons to pledge. Pledging is an important part of your faith journey – it is a promise to your faith community.
Your pledges or estimated contributions are the single most important source of funding for our ministries. Pledges are a mechanism for planning - only when pledges are received and totaled can the church’s leadership adequately plan for the upcoming year. The church’s annual operating budget is determined by the pledges you make.
When should I make a pledge?
You may submit a stewardship pledge at any time. Incarnation engages in an annual Stewardship campaign each fall, typically launching in October. As a congregation, we express our gratitude to God and present our pledges by early November, representing our commitment to God’s ministry through our church for the coming year. This timing is especially helpful to ensure the church’s leadership can finalize the new budget.
Will I receive a reminder of my pledge payments due?
Giving statements are typically sent four times a year: in late January (representing all giving for the previous year), in May (representing current year giving through April 30), in August (representing current year giving through July 31), and again in November (representing current year giving through October 31).
Ongoing reminders about fulfilling one’s pledge are included in our E-news, Incarnation Insider and other communications to ensure we end the fiscal year strong.
Can I give to Incarnation without submitting a pledge?
Of course. There are those who give faithfully but do not make a pledge. We are enormously grateful for sources of generosity and understand this is a choice made by each parishioner.
What if my circumstances change during the year?
We understand situations change and are here to support you through all circumstances. If you need to increase, decrease or discontinue your stewardship pledge, please contact us and we will modify your commitment at any time. We can also amend the frequency in which you pay your pledge. This helps ensure our records remain accurate.
What is the difference between a pledge and a recurring gift?
Both are important steps in completing the pledge process if you choose to make multiple payments throughout the year. A pledge is your total estimate of giving for the year. A recurring gift is the schedule of giving you choose at the time of submitting your pledge – ex: weekly, monthly, quarterly. We want whatever schedule you choose to work for you. It is helpful to know your anticipated frequency of payments to help us plan better financially.
What size pledge is expected?
Any size gift matters because it is from you and honors God. We recognize that the choice to financially support this parish is a very personal one and a covenant between you and God. We thank you for your generosity.
How can I check my own giving record in the church's Fellowship One database?
Giving history can be found through logging in to the Give Now form. Once signed in, follow these steps:
- Select the Sign In tab on the right and enter your phone number or email address as prompted.
- A 6-digit code will be sent to your corresponding number/address.
- After you enter the 6-digit code, you will then see three options at the top. Select History.
- Under the History tab you can view your current year giving. You can also export your giving information into a PDF file.
- If you have a recurring gift set up, you can click on the Scheduled tab and see upcoming payments and the duration of the gift – whether it has an end date or is ongoing.
