Stewardship Testimonial | Andrews Family

    Oct 22, 2026

By happy coincidence, we found our way to Church of the Incarnation in the spring of 2014 for a weekend “marriage preparation” seminar during our engagement. After that, we were drawn to everything the parish had to offer. From the welcoming community and atmosphere to the deep commitment of the parishioners and volunteers to the personable and biblically informed clergy, we knew immediately we had found the right church for us.

In 2016, we welcomed our first child, and when it was time for his baptism, we became official members at Church of the Incarnation. Since then, we had two more children (also baptized here), and shortly after that, we were both confirmed at Church of the Incarnation as well.

Thankfully, we came from families (non-denominational and Catholic) who modeled regular giving of their time and finances to their respective churches. But admittedly, it took us a few years to take the plunge into faithful and—dare I say—sacrificial stewardship. As our wise and godly financial planner has encouraged us over the years, "Give what you can, as soon as you can, plus a little more, and then a little bit more after that.”

Tithing, an ancient Biblical principle, has undoubtedly deepened our trust in God as our provider. However, through our own giving journey, God has simultaneously drawn us toward greater dependence on Him in other areas, like guiding us through pivotal life moments where we long to see His hand. As life becomes more complex and our children grow older, we recognize more than ever our need to rely completely on God to lead us along His narrow path—for our lives and for theirs.

“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the LORD, and whose hope and confident expectation is the LORD. For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear the heat when it comes. But its leaves will be green and moist, and it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought nor stop bearing fruit." —Jeremiah 17:7-8 AMP
