There’s something about sacred music that stays with us. A familiar hymn, the sound of a choir filling the Church, or a quiet moment of sung prayer can draw us out of the everyday and into something deeper. Throughout the 2026–27 season, Church of the Incarnation offers many ways to experience this tradition—from weekly Choral Evensong and Bach’s Lunch concerts to seasonal Lessons and Carols and performances by acclaimed visiting artists. Whether you’re a longtime lover of choral music or simply curious to hear something beautiful, we invite you to join us.
Choral Evensong: Sundays at 5 p.m.
As daylight fades, Choral Evensong offers a place to pause and a space to pray. Rooted in centuries of Anglican tradition, this hour-long service weaves scripture, prayer and choral music into an experience of stillness and reflection.
Much of the service is sung by the choir, inviting those gathered to listen and let music carry their prayer. Whether you arrive with faith, doubt or simply curiosity, all are welcome to enter into this centuries-old rhythm of prayer and peace.
Bach’s Lunch concerts are free and open to the public.
CONCERTS
The Incarnation Concert Series presents the world’s finest choirs and instrumentalists in concert. We look forward to welcoming you to one of the many concerts offered this season.
Bach’s Lunch: Tuesdays at 12:15 p.m. (Resumes October 6)
Take a break in the middle of your week with Bach’s Lunch, Incarnation’s free weekly concert series held Tuesdays from 12:15–1 p.m. in the Church. Throughout the 2026–27 season, Incarnation musicians and distinguished guest artists will perform choral, organ and chamber music, with repertoire ranging from Bach, Handel and Buxtehude to Brahms, Britten and Monteverdi, alongside organ recitals and chamber music programs.
Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge: Sept. 20, 2026
The Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge, one of the world’s leading collegiate choirs, will visit Church of the Incarnation on Sunday, Sept. 20. The choir will sing at the 11:15 a.m. traditional service, open to all, followed by a ticketed concert at 5 p.m.
Incarnatus Performs Handel’s Messiah: March 21, 2027
On Palm Sunday, March 21 at 4 p.m., Incarnatus, Church of the Incarnation’s professional choir, will present Handel’s Messiah.
One of the most enduring works in the sacred-music repertoire, Messiah takes on particular resonance as a musical meditation at the threshold of Holy Week.
The Queen’s Six: April 4, 2027
On Sunday, April 4 at 5 p.m., internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble The Queen’s Six will come to Church of the Incarnation.
Based at Windsor Castle and known for performances spanning sacred and secular repertoire, the ensemble brings another distinctive voice from the English choral tradition to Incarnation’s season.

Advent and Christmas Lessons & Carols
Rooted in the Anglican choral tradition, Lessons and Carols brings together Scripture, choral music, and beloved hymns to tell the story of Christ’s coming. Through Advent and Christmas, these services offer a beautiful opportunity to pause, listen, and enter more deeply into the mystery and joy of the season. All Lessons and Carols services are free and open to all.

November 29 at 4 p.m. — As Advent begins, join us for this beautiful service as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.
Christmas Lessons and Carols
December 13 and December 20 at 5 p.m. — Celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth through the timeless words and music of the Church.
