What Can I Do?

Mar 16, 2020| by Anthony Burton
Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
As things continue to move quickly in Dallas, we are mobilizing our parish to do all we can to help our most vulnerable parishioners and the poor of our city.
We need your help.
We are organizing an effort to encourage our parishioners who are isolating, with a daily phone call and a weekly offer to go to the grocery store or pharmacy for them. If you are isolating at home, call 214.217.5629 to request assistance or complete the form below.
This situation is especially tough on the poor and working poor as jobs evaporate. Be assured that we shall continue to deliver food to those who need it, and financially to assist those in danger of eviction. We are also in conversation with our mission partners about new ways to help those who are struggling. Would you be willing to help, either financially or practically?
It was great to be with so many of you through our live-streamed worship service yesterday. This Sunday, we shall expand our live-streaming and feature two services—one with traditional music and the other with contemporary music. This pandemic is not a moment for our church to hit pause. Now, more than ever, God’s world needs the Church to be the Church. Jesus is bigger than any virus. As we seek to glorify him, may this historic moment be our finest hour.
