Peter is tempted to stay on the mountain.  As we face our own culture’s tendencies towards addiction, consumerism, and other temptations to stay on top—what can we learn from the Transfiguration story?  How did Peter get up there in the first place?  And, as getting down is harder than going up—how can we “listen to him” guide us too—towards the ordinary places in which God waits for us?
