John the Baptist wonders if his expectations for Jesus were wrong. But Jesus says it's okay to be wrong (which is a good thing since most of us are wrong about a lot of things). Nonetheless, Jesus says, do not take offense at me! The worst thing we could do is to take offense and turn away from Jesus.
