Austin Street Center
Austin Street Center’s primary purpose for existence is to offer emergency shelter and related services to the homeless person in a compassionate Christian community, so that the person in need might be better able to make responsible choices and changes in their lives.
On the third and fifth Friday nights of each month, a team of six to ten people from Incarnation serves dinner to the homeless. The church provides the meal and the team members provide milk and juice. Teams leave the church at 5:30 pm to caravan to the shelter and are usually done by 7:30 pm. This is a wonderful family activity and a great way to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world along with fellow parishioners.
